The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is a recognized 501(c)(3)non-profit organization serving Tarrant and surrounding counties since 1905. We are supported solely by tax deductible donations and do not receive funding from county, state or federal entities, nor are we subsidized by any other organization. Your support allows us to continue to provide for the well-being of the animals, investigate animal cruelty, relieve suffering and care for the animals in need every year.

Donating FAQ’s

1. How can I make a credit or debit card donation?

Your credit or debit card donation can be accepted through PayPal on our website. Click on the "Donation" button for the PayPal form. HSNT does not have the ability to accept credit or debit card transactions over the telephone. Receipts will be sent upon request. Be sure to type your name and address in the memo box with your request.

2. How can I make a contribution if I do not want to use my credit or debit card over the Internet?

If you prefer to mail in your contribution, please click this link, print the form and mail completed form to:

3. How can I make a contribution in memory or in honor of a person or pet?

All memorial and honorarium contributions are acknowledged with a card that does not disclose the amount of the gift. Acknowledgment of your gift is mailed as quickly as possible, usually within a few days. You may print this form and mail your contribution to:

4. How can I make a contribution in memory or in honor of a person or pet using my credit or debit card?

Your credit or debit card can be accepted through PayPal on our website. Click on the "Donation" button for the PayPal form. After completing your PayPal transaction, please complete on the Acknowledgment Form:

5. How can I donate a vehicle to HSNT?

The Humane Society of North Texas has participated in the Charity Motors Car Donation Program since 1998. Charity Motors will pick up your vehicle, handle the transfer of title, provide a tax receipt form, and notify HSNT of your gift. HSNT will receive at least 70% of the proceeds. Receiving 70% from Charity Motors has been more successful than our liquidation resources. If you are interested in participating in this program, please call Charity Motors at 1-972-CHARITY (242-7489) or go to www.charitymotors.org and designate the Humane Society of North Texas as your charity.

6. If I make a contribution, is it tax deductible?

YES, The Humane Society of North Texas is a recognized 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established in Tarrant County in 1905. Your contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
