Adoption Stories

"I thought you might enjoy this photo. Tadpole adopted my husband, you know. I sent my husband to Wal-Mart to buy diet cokes and he got HIS dog a bib that says, "I love my daddy." Could it be any more sickening? All this from a man who wouldn't allow an animal in the HOUSE 9 years ago."

"Hi, I just wanted to say Thanks to your organization. Friday marked our one year anniversary with our Tibetan spaniel, Patrick. He was fostered by a lady with a tibbie, and she has now become a good friend. He has come so far according to her, and he has made wonderful improvement in the year he has been with us. Patrick went from being very food / bone aggressive and would not accept much interaction, even growling when we walked past. My husband was bit several times. Now, he is a typical tibbie, not unlike my dad's - hoarding cookies even more than when he came to live with us. He also has learned to accept new toys and enjoys getting into things and knocking the trash can over. The only bad thing is that I don't get kisses - my husband does!! Pats hearing and seeing have seemed to get a bit better, but no worse. He responds to his name now, too. Lauren was the one that saw that Patty could be a special dog for someone. I am glad that you were able to save him."
