Adoption Appointments
Making an adoption appointment is strongly advised prior to visiting one of our shelters. Doing so will ensure a shorter wait time and assistance during your visit. However, making an appointment is not required.
The adoption fees at the Humane Society of North Texas range from $15 to $325 for pets and up to $2,500 for equine.
Adoption fees are determined based on a variety of factors such as age, size, length of stay, and public demand. We do our best to ensure our adoption fees are reasonable and affordable to the general public. That is why we set fees well below the actual cost of your pets' care during their stay. The adoption fees help HSNT to cover a portion of the cost of your pet's medical care, food, and housing during their stay with us.
