Adoption Process
Easy guidelines for finding a fresh start and a permanent residence.
When you choose to adopt a pet, you're not only bringing a new family member into your home but also making a life-saving decision. We're here to support you throughout the entire journey.
Adoption fees are determined based on a variety of factors, such as age, size, length of stay, and public demand. We do our best to ensure our adoption fees are reasonable and affordable to the general public. That is why we set fees well below the actual cost of your pets' care during their stay. The adoption fees help HSNT, a nonprofit organization, to cover a portion of the cost of your pet's medical care, food, and housing during their stay with us.
The adoption fees at the Humane Society of North Texas range from $15 to $325 for pets and up to $2,500 for equines.
