Abstract Marbles

All adopters will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Have current identification showing your current address (if the address on your license is outdated, please bring a utility bill with your current address)

HSNT strives to spay or neuter all pets before they enter our adoption program. However, in the event you select a pet that has not been altered, you will need to leave the pet at the shelter until they can be fixed.

Adoption Services & Fees

Adoption fees are determined based on a variety of factors, such as age, size, length of stay, and public demand. We do our best to ensure our adoption fees are reasonable and affordable to the general public. That is why we set fees well below the actual cost of your pets' care during their stay. The adoption fees help HSNT, a nonprofit organization,  to cover a portion of the cost of your pet's medical care, food, and housing during their stay with us.

The adoption fees at the Humane Society of North Texas range from $15 to $325 for pets and up to $2,500 for equines.
