Rio's Story

Rio (her shelter name was Oreo) has made herself at home. Her favorite things include chasing squirrels in the backyard, going for walks, and napping all day. 

She's turned out to be quite the cuddle monster. She enjoys unmaking beds while I'm at work to sleep in the covers with her head on a pillow. 

She adores people- and wants everyone to be her best friend- including pest control, maintenance workers, etc. I've never met a dog that loves kids as much as she does. She likes to walk past the elementary school bus stop in the morning to say hi and wish all the kids a good day at school. 

We recently fostered 5 kittens and she loved being a "mama cat". I love Rio and couldn't imagine my life without her. We are constantly learning from each other.

Rio brings me joy every single day. She's one of the best decisions of my life!!! Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend had never rescued a dog.
