Become a Foster Hero Today and Help Puppies, Large Dogs, Doggy Moms with Litters, and More!

Open Your Heart and Home to a Furry Friend in Need

Are you someone with a bit of extra space in your home, a comfortable couch that's often empty, or a heart full of love to give? If so, it's time to consider becoming a foster hero! The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is calling out for compassionate individuals like you to help animals in dire need. Your action can make a monumental difference in the lives of our adoptable pets.

A Rewarding Experience with Financial Incentives

HSNT understands that fostering isn't just a noble deed, it's also a commitment. To appreciate the efforts of foster families, we are offering a $100 incentive for providing a temporary home to large adult dogs. And that's not all – if you can find a forever home for your foster, you'll receive an additional $150. That's a total of up to $250 for fostering an amazing dog!

Essential Support for Foster Families

Fostering a pet is a journey, and HSNT is here to support you every step of the way. We provide training, supplies, and cover 100% of the veterinary care for the foster dog. This incentive applies to those who can foster a dog weighing at least 40 pounds for a three-week period. To qualify for the $100 incentive, fosters are required to commit to the full three-week period.

How to Become a Foster Hero

If you're ready to make a difference, fill out the foster form below to join the ranks of foster heroes for an adult dog. Your decision to foster can change a dog's life forever.

Not Ready to Foster? Consider Donating!

Every contribution counts. If fostering isn't an option for you right now, consider donating to support our program. Thanks to the generosity of our community, HSNT can offer this wonderful program to foster families. Remember, fosters who take in a large dog for three weeks may receive $100, with a bonus of $150 for finding the dog a permanent home.

Key Guidelines for Fosters

  • Foster pets must be housed indoors and kept separate from household pets during the foster period.

  • Only one foster incentive is available per household at a time.

If you're interested and available to foster, please fill out the foster application to get yourself on deck for helping a furry friend in need. Your small act of kindness can bring a big change in the life of a dog waiting for love and care.

Remember, by becoming a foster hero, you're not just giving a pet a temporary home, but you're also giving them a chance at a better life. Sign up now to be their hero!
