The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is excited to announce one of the most anticipated events of the year—the MEGA Adoption Event! Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, August 17-18 at the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall, where HSNT, along with over 20 other North Texas animal shelters, will come together with one goal in mind: finding loving homes for over 1,000 pets!
This incredible event is part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters campaign, and it promises to be a weekend filled with hope, joy, and, of course, wagging tails and purring companions. Whether you're looking for a playful pup, a cuddly kitten, or a small furry friend, you'll find them all here, waiting for a new home.
Why You Can't Miss This Event
Not only is this a chance to bring home a new family member, but it's also an opportunity to make a life-changing difference for a pet in need. Every animal at the MEGA Adoption Event will have an adoption fee of $25 or less, which includes spay/neutering, microchipping, and age-appropriate vaccinations. This means you're not just giving a pet a home—you're also ensuring they have the best possible start in their new life.

Be Ready—Don't Wait!
With over 1,000 pets looking for homes, it's important to arrive early. Pets cannot be reserved in advance, so the early bird really does catch the worm—or in this case, the perfect pet! To save time when you arrive, we highly recommend registering before the event. Registration is for entry into the free adoption event, but if you're eager to get a head start, consider the Early Bird Fast Pass.
What is the Early Bird Fast Pass?
For those who want first dibs on the available pets, the Early Bird Fast Pass is your ticket to early access. For just $50, you'll get to enter the MEGA Adoption Event an hour before the general public on Saturday, August 17th, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. This means you'll have the first look at all the adoptable pets, giving you the best chance to find your perfect match.
But hurry—this pass is limited to the first 150 people who register and pay in advance. Please note that the Early Bird Fast Pass fee does not cover the adoption fee, which is still $25 or less per pet. Once you've registered and paid, you'll receive a confirmation email to use as your entry on the day of the event.
