Her beloved owner had passed away, leaving Annie not just heartbroken, but alone in a way no pet should ever have to endure. We don't know how long she stayed by her owner's side before help arrived, but we do know this: she was left with nothing but memories of the person she loved most.
Despite her tragic past, Annie's story was far from over. She arrived at our shelter confused and uncertain but with a resilience that would soon find its reward.
A Fateful Meeting at PetSmart

On one serendipitous day, Ashley West happened to be there.
If you don't already know Ashley, she's a renowned beauty and lifestyle influencer known for her effortlessly chic southern style and glowing personality. Her social media handle, @SouthernWestSunshine, perfectly captures her aesthetic: warm, radiant, and full of life. Beyond fashion and beauty, Ashley has a deep passion for family and animal adoption. A proud cat mom to a rescued kitty, she has always believed in giving animals a second chance.

She became the kids' loyal companion on school drop-offs, the perfect sidekick for errands, and even embarked on a family vacation to Santa Fe, NM where she soaked in the sights, smells, and the joy of being truly cherished.
