The Humane Society of North Texas Needs Your Help

We Need You! We are beyond capacity. Our goal is to never make difficult decisions because of space, so now more than ever we need our community to step up!

Today, we are reaching out to you with a plea for assistance. We find ourselves in an unprecedented situation, one where the lives of the precious pets in our care are at stake. At The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT), we have reached capacity and are using every available space to provide for the 1,100 pets currently under our roof. However, the moment a kennel space opens, it fills up the same day with another life waiting to be saved.

In our efforts to find as many loving homes for our dogs as possible, all dogs aged six months and older, weighing at least 30 pounds, are now available for adoption entirely free of charge (excluding our Hurst location). We hope that by eliminating financial barriers, we can encourage more individuals and families to open their hearts and homes to these deserving companions. Rest assured, while the adoption fee has been waived, our diligent adoption process remains in place to ensure the well-being of both the pets and their new families.

ADOPT

To meet these amazing dogs yearning for a forever home, we invite you to explore our available dogs on our website, hsnt.org/dogs. Each profile offers a glimpse into the unique personalities and stories of these lovable creatures. We also suggest visiting them in person as soon as possible at one of our adoption centers. You just might find your perfect match!

FOSTER

If adopting is not feasible at this time, we urge you to consider fostering a large dog. By opening your home temporarily to a furry friend. You provide them with the love, care, and stability they desperately need while we work diligently to find them their forever families. Our dedicated foster team is ready to provide all the necessary support, and we even offer incentives! For more information, please email foster@hsnt.org.

DONATE

For those who cannot adopt or foster, there are still ways to make a significant impact. Your generous financial contributions directly enable us to save lives and continue our mission. Every dollar donated goes towards providing medical care, nutritious food, shelter, and love to the animals in our care. Your support ensures that we can keep our doors open and continue to give these deserving pets a second chance at life.

VOLUNTEER

Lastly, we invite you to join our dedicated team by volunteering your time and love. Whether you can spare a few hours a week to walk dogs or assist us at offsite events, your physical help is invaluable. By volunteering, you become an integral part of our life-saving efforts, giving these animals the attention, exercise, and companionship they crave during their stay with us.

THEY NEED YOU

With over 1,100 pets eagerly waiting for their forever homes, time is of the essence. We are counting on your compassion and support to help us navigate this crisis capacity situation. Whether through adoption, fostering, donating, or volunteering, your involvement can make all the difference in the lives of these deserving animals.

We believe it's vital to show the urgent reality we face. Together, as a community, we can transform the lives of these innocent souls and give them the love and care they deserve.

Visit hsnt.org today to learn more about how you can help. Thank you for being their voice and joining us in this crucial mission.
